Lakecia Benjamin will perform at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State. She and her band will present music from her albums Phoenix and Phoenix Reimagined (Live), along with other evolving works.
A 2020 DownBeat Critics Poll Rising Star, Benjamin blends jazz, hip-hop, soul, and Latin dance music. She has performed with icons such as Stevie Wonder, Missy Elliott, Alicia Keys, and The Roots. Benjamin, a five-time Grammy nominee, was nominated in 2025 for Best Jazz Instrumental and Best Jazz Performance.
